Not even the fight going on behind Les can break up his sax-induced man dance.
LSU strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffit is never afraid to call out his players.
It was like they were having a football party and invited us.
I don’t know how I missed this, but apparently Steve Kragthorpe stepped down as offensive coordinator.
Les Miles samples the sod at Alex Box…
at least we know what he’s NOT giving up for lent.
I went to this game. After he ate grass he picked up some and gave it to LSU baseball coach Paul Mainieri. Mainieri ate it too haha

The Status of my favorite teams
- NFL: Carolina Panthers- first pick in NFL draft, 2-14 in regular season, no postseason. OUTLOOK, I don’t know at this point. It all is going to depend on their draft picks and how Ron rivera, the new head coach implements his systems. I am also going to assume that Steve Smith is leaving.
- NBA: Charlotte Bobcats - They are currently 22-30 and one game out of the 8 spot in the playoffs. OUTLOOK, I don’t expect them to do anything with the trade deadline approaching. They will playoffs but it is gonna be the 8 spot. This offseason after they lose in the first round they should get a point guard and a better big. Don’t get me wrong, DJ Augustin is a great player, but if the Bobcats want to be a serious playoff contender then he is better suited to come off the bench. And we all know getting rid of Tyson Chandler was stupid. Raymond Relton left Charlotte and is a beast. Maybe Charlotte is just where NBA players go to die.

- MLB: Atlanta Braves- last year 91-71, postseason= lost to eventual world series champs. OUTLOOK, They have made some considerable changes in the offseason, including gettin Dan Uggla and losing Bobby Cox to retirement. The 2011 season is all going to depend on pitching. Their position players are solid, we will see if Chipper has an injury plauged season or if he even plays at all. After losing their closer, the bullpen is going to rely on veteran Peter Moylan. They do have a pretty decent rotation though with: Hudson, Hanson and Lowe as the top three.
- NCAAB: LSU- (10-14, 2-7 SEC) Unless they win the tournament they can probably go ahead and look toward next year. Ralston Turner is a good solid player and they have some good young players with some solid recruits next year. Give them a year or two to be a threat in the SEC West. Maybe in 3 years they can compete for a conference title, but if the SEC East stays strong then they might just have to settle for an at-large bid.
- NCAAF: LSU- (11-2, 6-2 SEC) Won their bowl game decisively over Texas A&M. They lost a game against Arkansas that they definitely could have won. 2010 was a story of luck and dumb mistakes. OUTLOOK, The future is very bright. Even with Peterson’s departure along with some other key players, the good recruiting class and stong backups will fall into place nicely. Many are predicting them to win the SEC next year with the only real challengers being Bama and possibly Mississippi State, possibly even South Carolina. But don’t out of all these teams, LSU football is the least of my worries.

Two Quick Things
If Carmello gets traded to the Nets I am pretty sure that there won’t be much left on the Bench for the Nets to use.
- If they do go through with this trade they need to get Jordan Farmar out of NJ. He has had a very dissapointing season.
- They need to get something besides Carmello Anthony, Maybe a solid backup player or just a solid player. They obviously won’t be able to get anything too great but they can’t just get Carmello and expect an improvement.
- Keep these players
- Brook Lopez
- Derrick favors or Devin Harris, Although I do realize Favors is probably going somewhere since Carmello is also a Forward.
Secondly I am gonna miss Les Miles if he goes. He was a great coach. Sure he had his idiotic coaching decisions but you can’t deny he was one of the best in the country. I am kind of upset that he is might leave. Who in the world are we gonna hire. Whoever it is, they better keep John Chavis as Defensive Coordinator and get Gary Crowton out of here QUICKLY!
